Antique carpets, ceramics, furniture and paintings — all in one room.

A long room at the heart of the domain holds the family’s collection: antique carpets, ceramics, brass and copper, carved chests, painted furniture, lanterns and paintings, gathered over the years and kept where guests can see them.

It is not a museum with opening hours and there is no ticket. Guests wander through whenever they like — most often after lunch, when the light through the skylights is at its best.

What you will find

You will find antique carpets, hand-knotted and no two alike. Ceramics — vases, platters, jars — alongside brassware, copper and old glass. Paintings and framed pieces on the walls. Carved chests, cabinets and painted furniture. Lanterns, boxes, silver and jewellery.

Nothing is behind glass and nothing is labelled. There are banquettes and armchairs in the middle of the room, so most people end up sitting down with a mint tea rather than walking through.
