Ourika Road, kilometre seven. The medina is twenty minutes away, the Atlas an hour, the Agafay desert forty minutes. You leave in the morning and you are back in the pool by four.

Most guests arrive with a list and leave having mostly swum. Two pools, 5,800 m² of garden, shade in every direction, and mint tea that appears when you raise a hand.
The estate is at its best after six, when the lanterns come up and the water turns dark blue.
